Help, I've had an accident, what do I do now?

Firstly, don't panic - accidents happen and the first priority is always going to be making sure you're ok before you start thinking about the car. Do you repair all makes of vehicle?

Yes. We are an approved centre for Jaguar, Honda and Volvo who have very exacting standards and require us to keep to them. We have also extensive experience with Porsche, SAAB, BMW, Mercedes, Volkswagen and Audi. In addition we are accredited as a Body and Paint Centre of Excellence for Landrover. In short, we can do an excellent job regardless of the vehicle.

How do I get an estimate?

My insurance company has specified a repair company, can I use you regardless?

Yes! You are under no obligation to use the insurers preferred bodywork company. You have the choice...by law.

Do I get a guarantee?

Absolutely. All work carries our standard 12 month warranty. In addition we will honour the remaining term of your existing manufacturers warranty.

How long will I be without my car?

This varies according to the damage your vehicle has sustained. We will give you as accurate an estimate of time when we assess the vehicle.

Will I get a courtesy car?

In most circumstances we can give you a car normally within 24 hours of the accident.

Will you deal with my insurance company?

Yes all dealings and paperwork are looked after by Abbotts.

Is there anything to pay?

Most people have an excess to pay as part of their policy. This would be settled when collecting your repaired vehicle.

What if I don't want to go through my insurance company, can you still carry out the work?

Yes - we would produce a competitive estimate and then proceed at the soonest available time. Please note that major works will need to be secured with a deposit.
